This Prestashop module comes with an amazing functionality with which seller and customer ( buyer ) can have direct communication between each other anytime. The buyer and the seller can quickly chat with each other very conveniently and without refreshing the page. The chat option is available on the product detail page of the products added by seller and only the Sellers with products will be visible for chatting to customers. Once the Buyer have sent a message to the Seller then he can message the buyer from any page in the website. Buyer can now easily ask questions to seller about any product and get his answers quickly and directly from seller.
Note : This module is an add-on for a marketplace module. To use this module you have install JMarketplace. But using Customization services we can run this Chat module with any Marketplace module.
Features
- Buyer can initiate the chat with any seller, whether the seller is showing online or offline on the product page.
- Buyer need to login to initiate chat with the Seller.
- Sellers can respond to many buyers simultaneously.
- Buyers can also respond to many Sellers simultaneously.
- If the Seller is offline, then Buyer can send the message and all the messages can be seen in the green colour as unread in the next time when Seller is online.
- The chat option available on product detail page shows if the seller is online or not. It shows a green sign, then Seller is online.
- Seller can respond to the chat messages when the Buyer is online or offline ( both cases ).
- An easy side menu is available to see the chat list for the Seller’s and Buyers both.
- Admin can view or delete chats between sellers and buyers.
- Now buyer and seller can have direct communication.
- Multiple chat can be done at a single time by the Seller’s.
Installation
After installing marketplace module you can start the installation of Marketplace Seller Chat Module.
- Go to back office > Module Catalog
- Click Upload a module and then upload the zip file
- Search “Marketplace Seller Chat” in module search box then go to module and click on install.
Configuration
Once the module has been installed successfully, admin need to configure the module
Frontend
Once the module is installed successfully from the Back office, a new Chat icon can be seen in the Seller product page.
Backend
Admin can keep a track of all the chat conversations that were happening between Seller’s and Buyer’s. Admin can view the chat conversations in Marketplace under MP SELLER CHAT > List section.
This is how the Marketplace Seller Chat module works. It’s a very useful module which provides one-to-one communication between the Buyer and the Seller.
